What is Corrective Exercise?
The aim of Corrective Exercise is to identify structural, postural, and movement imbalances in the body and to develop a program that corrects them. The focus of the program is on exercises and movements that create balance, stability and mobility in the areas that are not functioning well.
Corrective exercise is suitable for everyone from athletes to those with specific structural needs.
Corrective Exercise can help with the following conditions.

How does it work?
Corrective exercise is an exercise technique which is very different from other regular exercise programs. I begin each program with a series of detailed assessments to identify any bio-mechanical issues within the body, for example: poor posture; a dysfunctional core; poor range of motion; and poor movement quality. These assessments help me to provide you with the most scientifically sound exercise program specific to your needs.
Your customised program will then include exercises, movements and stretches designed to get your body moving again without any imbalances.
How I can help you
I draw on my 15 years of experience in the field of Corrective Exercise, together with my specialised CHEK training, to apply a truly holistic approach to healing and recovery. I look at your body as a fully functioning system which incorporates a number of smaller systems that work together to create the whole. I assess each of these systems to identify the areas of imbalance, and then I create a detailed exercise program to get your body functioning properly again.

What happens in a typical session
During each session, you will learn which exercises can help bring your body back to its normal posture and which exercises can help sustain that posture once it’s achieved. You will learn the correct technique for each exercise to ensure you are supporting your body at all times.
I will be there for you every step of the way to make sure your time spent in training sessions with me is as effective as possible. I will also give you exercises to do at home to continue your recovery in between sessions.
